born in, Adelaïde, Australia, in 1957, lives in London. Since 1976 he has worked as an artist, and has been using computers since 1978, when he invented a graphic computer system. He has been working on digital animations since 1980 and since 1983 has focussed on interactive installations, animations, cd-roms, internet and related media. Since 1999 Biggs has been a professor at the Art and Design Research Centre, School of Cultural Studies, Sheffield Hallam University.
